Finding Your Motivation

Don't get discouraged. Motivation is not a magic pill that we take daily, it doesn't appear after downing an energy drink, it comes from a place of acceptance and commitment.
Once you are truly ready to make that commitment, the motivation will be along for the ride. Accept the place you are in and decide where you'd like to go from there. You may be ready for a complete "workout overhaul" or possibly you're in a place where "maintaining" is more realistic.

Need an extra push? Contact a local gym, personal trainer, or sign-up for a new activity that gets you moving! There are plenty of reasons for you to move, so stop with the excuses and start taking the neccessary steps to a healthier you!

Change Should Not be Avoided

After more than a year of Lindsay having opened her studio on Taraval, its time to change some things around, starting with classes vs training.

Its no question that clients receive better instruction, more attention, and leave with a better workout when they workout with a personal trainer verses heading to the gym and taking a group exercise class, hiding in the back. With this being said, LifestyleFIT has discontinued the Group Exercise membership and instead has decided to stick with personal training. What does this mean for our members who love the group atmosphere...not much change besides a different structure.

We are keeping a few classes, but they will be hosted by the Instructors individually, and marketed at Small Group Personal Training. I will continue to teach my beloved Total Body class but it has moved to Wednesdays at 8am.  There will be alternate classes/teachers to sign-up with, so please continue to check the LifestyleFIT website as well.

Fight for Air

UPDATE: Finished stair climb in 22min. I wasn't running by any means, stopped a few times to hydrate, and made it to the top with a smile! Rewarded myself with a cold beer and banana at the peak :-)

I am always looking for something new to participate in that will push me and continue to motivate me in my healthy living venture. A few weeks ago I discovered American Lung Association's Fight For Air. This event involves climbing the San Francisco Bank of America building - all 52 flights of stairs (not that I'll be counting).

Once I signed up, the training begins. I head to the gym and hop up on that stair mill...that is when I met my match. It turned into a love/hate relationship, and I'll be able to tell tomorrow which it ended up being.

So, tomorrow morning, I attempt to Fight for Air....and I have a feeling I'll be doing exactly that. If you are interested in joining, please do so at: Visit Our Page

Come What MAY!

A new month with new goals, new possibilities! This month I have vowed to focus more on my personal  exercise routine, yes, even your trainer can find themselves in bind and bored with a routine. So, I've spend time researching training techniques, reading articles, and trying a few new moves that will step up my game! Not only does this benefit me, but it also makes me more aware of my clients' needs. 

I start another week, looking forward to assisting one client at a time and testing out my new training techniques on the lucky customers! Stay tuned for some tips! And I'll see you in the studio!

April Showers Bring Strength, Sweat, & Power

As many of you already know, the LifestyleFIT studio offers a variety of Group Fitness Class ranging from Yoga/Pilates to Kickbox/Core. These classes are for all fitness levels, offering modifications for exercises that prove too difficult, and/or ways to intensify those exercises that are now way too easy for you. Whatever your level, we are here to help you burn, sweat, and love exercise again and again!

If you haven't joined us for our Total Body Conditioning class, you are missing out! I have designed a workout that will gently push you to your fitness edge. The class can be comprised of any or all of the following: weight circuits, cardiovascular intervals, and body weight stabilization. 


I'm a leg girl, so I love doing squats and lunges to help tighten and slim the calves, thighs, and butt. Don't get me wrong, the class will be filled with your share of upper body exercises to help women feel more confident when wearing sleeveless shirts, tanks, and dresses! No body part, no muscle will feel neglected when I'm finished with you! And like I said, your ass will thank me!
